Susan's Pieces

Welcome to piecework fabrics! My name is Susan, and I am the owner of Piecework. Our family started the business in 1999, one of the earlier fabric companies to join the internet! I guess that ages me a bit- but what a fun journey it has been. Our customers have been our treasures and many of you have become dear friends- telling us about your families and your homes- and sharing the beautiful work that you do. It is amazing how small the world becomes when you are working with your friends.

As the mother of seven beautiful children (and now several of their spouses and a granddaughter!) I know how wonderful and how crazy life can be. It is important to have a space of time for creativity- and a time for yourself- even if it is only a few minutes at a time! Those moments bring peace, and allow you to create something beautiful that you and your family will treasure. I love to quilt- I enjoy the entire process and I always feel that it is a process of stitching something with love. I used to tell my kids that a quilt was like a big hug you could wrap around yourself- and I believe it. We have lots of hugs around the house!
